Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and accounts

Hosts must be at least 18 years old and sign in with Google. Guests join rooms without an account, through a room's QR code or Room Number.

You are responsible for activity under your host account and for who you share your QR code or Room Number with.

2. What the service does

WeddingRoom provides a private room per wedding: an editable digital invitation, guest photo and video uploads, a shared album view, and automatic expiry at the end of the plan's storage period.

3. Plans, payment and upgrades

• Plans are one-time purchases per room, priced in USD with local-currency equivalents (AUD/EUR/GBP) shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see your card details.
• You can upgrade a room at any time by paying the difference; upgrades take effect immediately and extend the plan's limits and windows. Downgrades are not available.
• Rooms on the Free Trial cannot be published; they exist to try the editor and upload flow.
• Prices exclude applicable taxes, which are added at checkout where required.

4. Room lifecycle and deletion

Each plan defines an upload window and a storage period, both counted from the wedding day. When the storage period ends, the room enters a 7-day recovery window, after which all room content is permanently deleted — including stored files, database records and cached copies. We will remind you 30 and 7 days before expiry.

There is no permanent-retention option. Deleted content cannot be recovered once the recovery window closes, so please download what you want to keep beforehand.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. By uploading, you grant WeddingRoom the limited licence needed to store, process (e.g. thumbnails), display and deliver your content within the room during its lifetime — and nothing more.

You warrant that you have the right to share what you upload and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or privacy.

The couple, as room host, is the content manager: they may remove any photo or video from their room. Guests can always remove their own uploads and download their own originals.

6. Acceptable use

• Upload only content you have the right to share; respect the privacy of everyone pictured.
• Do not use rooms for anything unlawful, harassing, or infringing; do not probe or enumerate other rooms.
• Do not attempt to access content outside rooms you were invited to, or interfere with the service's operation.
• We may remove content or suspend rooms that breach these rules; illegal content may be reported to authorities.

7. Availability and changes

We target 99.9% availability and retry failed uploads automatically, but the service is provided 'as is' without warranties to the extent permitted by law. We may improve or change features; if we discontinue a feature your active room depends on, we will give you reasonable notice and, where possible, a path to download your content before expiry.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WeddingRoom's total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the room in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for content uploaded by guests.

9. Termination

You can stop using WeddingRoom and delete your rooms at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. On termination, the lifecycle in section 4 applies to your data.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of our principal place of business, as stated at checkout; mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are unaffected. Final governing law is confirmed before public launch.
